The Program
AFK's Mission
The primary mission of the All For Kids Renegades AAU Basketball is to promote the continued development of young players as it relates to fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship and athletic competition. This will be achieved through participation in tournaments throughout the region and competing at the highest level possible. Coaching each player in reaching their maximum potential and contribution in the game of basketball and in transforming those skills from the basketball floor today, to become leaders in our communities tomorrow.
AFK's Goal
Our goal is to build character and self-esteem through education and sports at the highest level. Our programs will provide the foundation for academic achievement and guidance needed for success at the high school and college level. Team concepts are an absolute necessity for our athletes. We encourage a style of basketball that requires tremendous intensity on defense and total unselfishness on offense. We demand that our student athletes be in great mental and physical condition and that they excel on and off the basketball court.
Coaching Staff
Coach Chris Fontaine
Coach Chris created the All For Kids Renegades in 2010 to help student athletes develop their basketball skill by playing some of the best competition in the region. In 2011, his team won the Zero Gravity National Championship, since then they have won numerous tournaments throughout the New England, New York and New Jersey area. In doing this, he has showed an extremely high level of sportsmanship and has put the AFK Renegades on the map as one of the top AAU programs in Western Mass.
Coach Erin Fontaine
Coach Erin joined the program in 2011. Her organizational skills have aided the program to become extremely efficient with creating tournament schedules, practice schedules and relaying information to parents. Coach Erin also serves as the teams statistician, website manager and program director.
*The 2016 All For Kids Renegades season will be played in honor of both coaches Grandfathers. They were both huge supporters of the program and truly loved hearing all about the games.*
